Dorothy Wang has some new bling!
The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and Bling Empire star, 36, is engaged to film producer Brandon Yankowitz. Wang shared the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday, Oct. 29, writing simply, “🤍 engaged 🤍.”
Her post included a romantic photo of the pair kissing with their arms wrapped around each other as they stood in an elegant room decorated with candles and floral arrangements featuring white roses.
Several of Wang’s celebrity friends shared their love in the comments, including Lisa Rinna, who wrote, “Congrats! ❤️.” Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie commented, “Congratulations Dor 🥹❤️‼️” and Crystal Kung Minkoff chimed in, “Been waiting for this!!!!!”
In an Instagram Stories post shared earlier on Tuesday, Wang appeared to hint at her engagement, posting an inspirational quote that read: “Sometimes the Universe takes you on a journey you didn’t know you needed, to bring you everything you ever wanted. Trust the plan.”
According to IMDb, Yankowitz is a former model and a licensed attorney. He also co-founded the production company YaSu Media, which “develops and produces feature length and short format film content for traditional and new media distribution.” Yankowitz’s producing credits include the 2008 shorts Blue Ballad and American Centurion and the 2011 film Trophy Kids.
The engagement post marks the first time Yankowitz has appeared on Wang’s Instagram.
Last year, Wang spoke to about needing “a shakeup” and making a big move from Los Angeles to New York City, as she signed on to appear in the Netflix spinoff Bling Empire: New York in her first full-time television stint since 2016.
“I honestly always loved New York,” she explained at the time. “I want to change. I want to meet new people, I want to explore new restaurants. I needed a shakeup. I felt like being born and raised in Beverly Hills, as much as I built this perfect life for myself, it just kind of got too perfect for me.”
She also opened up about how she feels like she’s “grown a lot” since her days on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, which aired on E! from 2014 to 2016 and also featured Morgan Stewart McGraw, Jonny Drubel, Taylor-Ann Hasselhoff, Brendan Fitzpatrick and EJ Johnson. The reality series documented the over-the-top lifestyles of the wealthy castmembers.
“I feel like year to year sometimes I grow so much. I’ve become so much more secure and so much more confident,” Wang explained to PEOPLE.
“I think I’m less superficial than I was when I was young,” she added. “It’s not so much about Birkins and cars and this and that there. It’s more about our relationships and wanting to be a good friend to people and just developing real relationships.”
