Mechanics come to the rescue of a kitten trapped in a truck engine, working diligently to provide him with the life he rightfully deserves.
The rescuers of a young cat who took refuge under the hood of a truck did not just bring her to safety. They also made it their mission to find him a home.
A kitten stuck in the engine compartment of a truck was not only freed, but found a loving family thanks to the mechanics who discovered him. A story reported by WEAU .
Andy Fenner and Paul Soden work as maintenance technicians at Chippewa Valley Technical College , located in Eau Claire , Wisconsin (United States). In other words, they are responsible for maintaining the establishment’s truck fleet. Recently, the duo made a surprising discovery in one of these vehicles as they were about to finish their day’s work.
“ After work, we park our trucks in another building ,” says Andy Fenner . So I started the truck and was heading towards the building, when I heard these faint meows .” At first, he thought the kitten emitting them was in the cabin with him. He then realized that he was actually stuck under the hood.
His colleague asked him to turn off the engine so as not to hurt the animal. “ I opened the hood, and there, the little black cat was right in the corner ,” explains Paul Soden .
It was very cold at that time, and the 2 mechanics knew that they could not leave the feline in this situation without doing anything. “ We had to find a way to get him out of there and get him somewhere warm ,” continues Paul Soden .
They were eventually able to lure him out of the truck. It was a young female in a black dress .
“The children were very happy”
They talked to Vince Mussehl , director of library services at the college, whose family just happened to be looking for a cat to adopt.
He fell in love with the adorable cat and took her home that evening. His children were over the moon when they saw him arrive with the little news in his arms. “ They were very surprised and very happy ,” says Vince Mussehl .
They called her Kitty .
