A lot of remarkable films were released last year, but one that definitely stands out from the crowd is Bohemian Rhapsody, the biopic of phenomenal rock band Queen and its iconic frontman, Freddie Mercury. The movie has been a box office hit around the world and won several awards from this year’s Oscars, Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards. It also turned out to be a great way to introduce Freddie Mercury and his band’s music to the new generations.
Freddie’s life was already an open book, even before the movie. However, he had a side a lot of people knew about. He was a huge cat lover, and most of his beloved cats were from rescue centers. He really treated them like his own children, and he even dedicated an entire solo album, Mr. Bad Guy, to his cat Jerry and the rest of his feline family. People who were close to him witnessed how he took care of his cats, even devoting all of his free time to stay with them. To Freddie, his cats were his children and he was willing to do anything to protect them and keep them healthy and safe, and this is the reason why we decided to celebrate this legendary singer and animal lover with 16 rare pictures of him and his cats.
