When the girl first encountered this kitten, it lay motionless by the roadside. Passersby assumed it was no longer alive. As she approached, she noticed the trembling body of the kitten and the faint cries that took her breath away. Fortunately, the little one was still alive, though in a dire state.
Without uttering a word, the girl swiftly removed her coat and gently wrapped the baby in it. She carried the tiny kitten to the animal hospital. When the veterinary doctor cleaned its fur, everyone present was astonished. Despite years of working to save animals, this was the first time they had seen such a cat—a cat without a tail and one ear.
Though it was possible that the cat had been attacked by a dog, there were no wounds apart from the severed tail and ear. Moreover, this cat was not an ordinary stray but a purebred one. Judging by its body shape and baby teeth, it was only two to three months old.
What had this little one done to deserve such cruel treatment? It had only been on this Earth for a few months and had endured unimaginable pain. While its tail and ear couldn’t be restored, it didn’t hinder its hearing abilities. The only unfortunate aspect was that the cat couldn’t blink like other cats and needed eye drops regularly.
At just three months old, perhaps the baby still didn’t understand why everyone was trying so hard to save it after causing it harm. Now, the cat has found a new home with a new owner.
