Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has made a bold and somewhat risky declaration about his personal life—he won’t be getting married until he wins a Super Bowl.
The 23-year-old breakout NFL star, who is in a long-term relationship with social media influencer Hallie Aiono, shared his no-marriage-until-a-ring stance during an appearance on the St. Brown Podcast.
“I don’t think I’ll be ready to get married anytime soon,” Nacua said. “I’m [trying to] win a Super Bowl.”
A ‘Super Bowl or Bust’ Relationship Stance?
Nacua’s statement signals a unique and ambitious personal commitment, but it also raises the stakes on both his football career and relationship with Aiono.
While winning a Super Bowl is every NFL player’s dream, it’s far from a guarantee—even for the league’s best teams. The Rams last won a championship in 2022, while Nacua was still playing college football at BYU.
Now entering his second season in the NFL, Nacua is poised to play a major role in the Rams’ offensive rebuild. But declaring a Super Bowl prerequisite for marriage could be a risky move, given how unpredictable the NFL landscape can be.
How Does This Affect His Relationship with Hallie Aiono?
Nacua and Aiono frequently post about each other on Instagram, and she has been a constant presence at his games, wearing his No. 17 Rams jersey in full support.
However, Aiono has not publicly commented on Nacua’s marriage stance, leaving fans wondering if she’s on board with his championship-or-marriage approach.

Can the Rams Deliver a Championship?
While Nacua has made his marriage plans contingent on winning a Lombardi Trophy, the Rams’ Super Bowl chances remain a question mark.
Los Angeles made it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs last season before falling to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. However, the team has undergone major roster changes, including:
- Releasing longtime star Cooper Kupp
- Acquiring superstar wide receiver Davante Adams
Beyond that, the NFC remains highly competitive, with teams like the Eagles, Buccaneers, Commanders, and Packers all positioning themselves for deep playoff runs.
Is Nacua’s Plan Realistic?
At just 23 years old, Nacua still has plenty of time to chase a championship. However, waiting indefinitely for a Super Bowl ring before proposing could prove challenging—especially given the unpredictability of the NFL.
Whether Aiono supports the plan or pushes for a timeline adjustment remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Nacua is focused on one ring before the other—and that first one comes with diamonds and a Super Bowl parade.
