Rosie O’Donnell has provided an update on her weight loss journey, revealing that she has lost more weight since starting Mounjaro, a medication prescribed for managing diabetes. In a TikTok video posted on March 20, 2025, the 62-year-old Emmy Award-winning comedian shared that Mounjaro has been helping her reduce her appetite and support weight loss, in addition to her efforts to cook for herself and her child, Clay, after moving to Ireland

Mounjaro, an FDA-approved drug for type 2 diabetes, has gained attention in Hollywood for its weight-loss benefits. O’Donnell noted that the medication has helped her shed pounds, but she also credited her weight loss to the changes in her daily routine, especially the transition from having a chef to preparing her own meals.

She shared her surprise at the progress when she recently went shopping in Dublin. “I’m one of those people who always had a weight issue, and now that I’m a size large — instead of an XL or XXL — I find it shocking,” she said, adding that it was a completely new experience to try on clothes that fit better.

O’Donnell recounted trying on a pair of pants without an elastic waistband, something she hadn’t worn in years. “I feel healthier. I’m sleeping better,” she said with a laugh.

In January 2023, O’Donnell shared that she had lost 10 pounds since Christmas and credited her weight loss to a combination of medication and lifestyle changes, such as reducing sugar intake, drinking only water (except for one celebratory night), and trying to be more active.
