FOX NFL Sunday couldnt help but poke fun at Netflixs coverage of the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight with a dig that left Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan in laughter.
Netflix made its first venture into the live sports streaming industry as Pauls victory over the 58-year-old was streamed on Friday night alongside a stacked undercard involving Katie Taylors defense of her light-welterweight world titles against Amanda Serrano. But the broadcast wasnt without issue, with viewers suffering crashes and buffering during the action.
The event at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, welcomed a plethora of sporting guests including NFL Sunday analyst Rob Gronkowski and NBA legend Shaquille ONeal. Gronk was in attendance at the home of the Dallas Cowboys and was interviewed ahead of the main event fight.
A section during NFL Sunday saw host Curt Menefee bring up Gronkowskis attendance as the panel quipped that the former New England Patriots tight end is everywhere. Menefee then cut to a clip of Gronk at the fight but in a dig at Netflix, the clip froze and started buffering.
Strahan and Bradshaw as well as fellow analyst Howie Long all broke into laughter at the cheeky joke by Menefee before Gronkowski lauded the spectacle of the night and the title rematch between Taylor and Serrano.

He then poked fun at the Cowboys expense when it came to discussing the main event as he joked: Jake Paul has more wins at the Dallas Cowboys stadium this year than the Dallas Cowboys. Paul dominated the eight-round fight to win the bout via the judges scorecard while the Cowboys were demolished 34-6 by the Philadelphia Eagles in the same stadium on Sunday.
Dallas record for the season is a miserable 3-6 with their losing streak now stretching to four matches. The Cowboys last victory came more than a month ago, beating the Steelers 20-17 in Pittsburgh. Dallas two other wins this season against the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns have also come away from home.

Netflix are set to host two NFL games for the first time in the streaming platforms history. The Christmas Day doubleheader header of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Steelers is followed by the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. The four fanbases will be hoping that the same issues dont affect the crucial AFC encounters.
The platform even acknowledged the technical difficulties in a post on X following Fridays boxing action. 60 million households around the world tuned in live to watch Paul vs. Tyson! Netflix posted on X. The boxing mega-event dominated social media, shattered records, and even had our buffering systems on the ropes.
