Yellowstone prequel 1923 is back on Paramount Plus and the second season has seen Elizabeth Strafford in a vulnerable position on the Dutton ranch during a particularly harsh winter. She was almost ravaged by a predator and was bitten by a wolf, resulting in her needing daily injections of antibiotics.
Finding the conditions impossible to bear, she threatened to leave the ranch and her husband Jack (Darren Mann) behind. Actress Michelle Randolph hails from California, although she spent some time in North Carolina.
The 27-year-old actress is also known for playing Ashley Norris in Landman and has previously starred in The Resort and 5 Years Apart. As the middle of three children, her older sister Cassie is a TV personality who won the 23rd season of The Bachelor.
Together, the pair own a sustainable denim brand called LNDN Denim. The pair said on their website: “We were raised in California, always obsessed with the laid back, casual style everyone knows and loves. Over the years we’ve found we’re never able to part with our favorite denim pieces.
“You end up naming some pairs of your jeans because you feel genuinely attached to them – we know that isn’t just us.”
The actress graduated Arizona State University in 2023 with a degree in Film and Media Studies, having filmed 1923 during her studies.
She told the school’s website: “There were times Id submit homework assignments or need to take a quiz while on set.
“I learned to take advantage of every free moment … honestly the most stressful part was hoping there was reliable Wi-Fi.”
Taking to Instagram to share an update from her graduation, she mentioned her younger brother, saying: “Its hard to believe that Im at the finish line.
“Its special to look back on when I started school, all the changes and growth spurts my life has gone through. The lessons and the confidence my time at ASU has given me is indispensable.
“Im feeling so grateful and sentimental. HA @landonrandolph- despite what you thought would happen, I finished before you. (If youre wondering what motivated me most, its wanting to graduate before my little brother).”
She signed with Wilhelmina Models in 2016 and began her media career by appearing on the reality television program Young Once.
Michelle would go on to star in a number of low budget films before finding her breakout role in the Yellowstone prequel.
