An unlucky in love Lurcher called Prince will reach a sad milestone this Valentine’s Day, having been in the care of animal welfare charity, Battersea, for over 150 days. He has yet to meet his one true love – could it be you?
Four-year-old Prince certainly lives up to his name and is a sweet-natured dog with handsome looks to match. Once he gets to know you, Prince’s playful side shines through and he loves to spend his days playing throw and pounce games with his collection of fluffy toys.
The loveable Lurcher is a sensitive soul and is nervous around people he doesn’t know. However, since arriving at Battersea, Prince has progressed in leaps and bounds with conquering his worries and is ready to find a home fit for royalty with new owners who are willing to be patient and make friends at his own pace.
Prince has proven to be the jewel in the crown at Battersea and has made friends with many different dogs in the charity’s care. As he has shown to enjoy being in the company of other dogs, he could live in a home with an existing dog of a similar size and personality.
Preferring the simple things in life, Prince is searching for a quiet and relaxed home where he can enjoy plenty of long walks and a gentle fuss.
Zenya Green, Team Leader at Battersea and Prince’s Foster Carer, said: “Valentine’s Day is a time to show those who are special to you that you care about them, but Prince is still searching for the right person to sweep him off his feet. Thankfully, Battersea’s dedicated staff have been on hand to give him the love and royal treatment he deserves while he continues his search for his new family.
“It has been such a rewarding process to foster Prince and I have loved seeing him begin to enjoy life, settle into a home routine and overcome his anxieties. Prince makes me smile and laugh at his antics every day, and he really deserves a home that will understand him, allow him to be himself and embrace each and every small victory he has.”
If you think Prince could be the crowning glory of your family,
