This adorable baby was born with an incredible shock of black hair that is so thick it showed up on ultrasounds.
Jolee Shead is one of Britain’s hairiest babies at just three months old.
Thanks to the scans her parents knew she would have a glorious head of hair, but they were still amazed when she was born with her luscious locks.
Mum Laura told the Liverpool Echo that people stop her in the street to marvel at her daughter’s thick mop of hair.
Laura, from Old Swan, Liverpool, said: “She was born like this and we were shocked to be honest.
“The hair did show up on the scans so we expected her to have hair but we were not expecting anything like this – I couldn’t believe it.”
Laura is also mum to Riley, 10, who she said didn’t have anywhere near as much hair as Jolee when he was born.
She said: “It is very unusual. Her hair at the moment is so wild and I can’t really do anything with it at the moment.
“I wash it and it just sticks up everywhere.”
Jolee was born in Liverpool Women’s Hospital on July 10.
Laura said she was taking all kinds of heartburn relief medication at the time and thinks that might have something to do with Jolee’s exceptional hairiness.
Laura said she was inspired to share pictures of her daughter after seeing an article about a contender for Britain’s hairiest baby earlier this month.
But she believes Jolee has “far more hair” than her hairy baby rivals.
She added: “When I take her out people pull me all the time to see her.
“It can take 20 minutes to get to the sweet shop at the top of my road and back again.
“It is just brilliant – I love her and am so proud
